
Jorhdin is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
She earned a B.Sc. (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Calgary in 1986, an M.A. at York University in 1988 and a Ph.D. in Community Health at the University of Toronto in 1992.
Her counselling internship was conducted in 1989–90 at the Atkinson Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre, York University. She served as a consultant at the Centre in 1990–91.
Jorhdin has trained at the Bradshaw Center in Los Angeles and been in private practice since 1989. From 1997 to 1999, she also received training at the C.G. Jung Institute Analyst Training Program in Pittsburgh and has completed the Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory and Eye Movement Desensitization and Re-Processing (EMDR) training.

Jorhdin was the Mental Performance Training Coach for the Canadian National Women’s Squash Team from 2013–2017. From 2014 to 2017, she was a member of the Psychology department for the Executive Health Program at Cleveland Clinic Canada.
Jorhdin was Chair, Certification, at the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP) until May 30, 2014.
